Assistant Chief Brandon Badovinac began his law enforcement career with the Saginaw Police Department in 2005.  He has held positions of Police Officer, Detective, Corporal, Sergeant and Lieutenant during his more than 18 years with the department.  In 2019 he was promoted to Lieutenant of the Support Services Division, which includes Criminal Investigations, Communications, Community Services and Professional Standards.  In 2022, he was promoted to position of Assistant Police Chief.

Assistant Chief Badovinac holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University.

COREY BURNETT

Lieutenant Corey Burnett began his law enforcement career with the Blue Mound Police Department in 1999 after serving in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard.  He was hired by the Saginaw Police Department in 2000 and has held positions of Police Officer, Bicycle Patrol Officer, SWAT, Patrol Sergeant and Criminal Investigations Sergeant.  He was promoted to his current rank in February of 2022 and oversees the Operations Division, which includes Patrol, Traffic Enforcement and SWAT.  

Lieutenant Burnett holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate, Mental Health Peace Officer Certificate, over 3,100 training hours from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Tarrant County College.   Lt. Burnett grew up in Saginaw and graduated from Boswell High School in 1991.

Lieutenant James Crippen started his Law Enforcement career at Samson Park Police Department in 2008. He was hired by the Saginaw Police Department in April 2010.  He has held positions of Police Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective, Corporal, Sergeant and Lieutenant during his more than 14 years with the department. He was promoted Lieutenant of the Support Services Division, which includes Criminal Investigations, Communications, Jail Services, Community Services and Professional Standards. Lt Crippen holds an Advanced Peace Officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Lt Crippen grew up in Weatherford, Texas and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1990.
